Yesterday Cord Cutters News was the first to report that DIRECTV NOW will be rolling out a $10 price hike and two new packages. The new packages will be called DIRECTV NOW Plus with 40+ channels for $50 a month and DIRECTV NOW MAX with 50+ channels for $70 a month. DirecTV Now is the TV streaming service from AT&T and DirecTV. Available throughout the United States, the service offers both live and on-demand video from dozens of popular cable channels, while also offering the same for broadcast channels in select cities.

The MAC and Pac-12 college football conference championship games are currently taking place, and DirecTV Now users are apparently missing out on the action.
Many DirecTV Now users reported that their service was down during the Buffalo-Northern Illinois (shown on ESPN2) and Washington-Utah (shown on Fox) football games on Friday night.

This has been a fairly frequent issue with the streaming service, as many users made clear on Twitter. And it's been an issue during big college football games in the past, like during the last season's College Football Playoff.
You have probably heard that DirecTV has now launched a potential cale cutting service called, wait for it, DirecTV NOW.
Its touted as a full cable replacement service and is pushing all the right buttons. To watch DirecTV Now in Canada, UK, Australia, or anywhere outside the USA, you must use either a smartDNS or a VPN.

Initially DirecTV Now will offer four differing channel bundles. The craziest thing of all is that they are currently offering a limited-time promotion that will let you pay $35 per month for a package of over 100 channels. (update the introductory offer has expired)
This same tier will eventually cost $60 for anyone who misses this special introductory offer. The good news is that AT&T have provide some reassurance over prince by saying that 'anyone who signs up in time will be able to stay at the $35 price point for as long as they remain an active DirecTV Now customer'.
It should be worth noting that $35 is a considerable discount so if you plan to jump off the cable ship you should really do it now. And you can even optionally subscribe to HBO for only $5 extra each month.

The main thing here is to concentrate on how to Watch DirecTV Now Outside the USA.
The service is, and is likely always to be, restricted to the USA. So in order to be able to access DirecTV Now outside the USA, we will need to spoof our location and trick DirecTV into thinking we are within the USA.
The easiest way to do that is with a VPN or a Smart DNS.

In the meantime a VPN s pretty foolproof and there are a number of excellent VPN providers that will do the job. The key for a service like this is reliability. Yu may have a stream going for multiple hours so you need to know it won't be affected.
For the test, I used Express VPN which gave great results. However, any large VPN provider with USA infrastructure will be able to provide a good service.

As I said, reliability is key, which is why i say perhaps for a live streaming service it may be worth going for a larger firm over a smaller one. Its ultimate up to you though.
